- Yamazaki is very close friends with her co-stars Megumi Hayashibara (Ai Haibara), Kappei Yamaguchi (Shinichi Kudo), and Akira Ishida (Saguru Hakuba). She also recieved a personal computer as a gift from Akira Kamiya (Kogoro Mouri). She and Hayashibara met when they both auditioned for the role of Rei Ayanami in Neon Genesis Evangelion (which went to Hayashibara). She also considers Hayashibara one of her favorite singers.
