'''Gosho Aoyama Confirms a Storyboard for the Detective Conan Finale Exists: “It’s Good (laughs)”'''<br>
Gosho Aoyama, creator of Detective Conan, appeared on 24-Hour Television Latest Information SP, a special preview program for Nippon TV’s 24-Hour Television 49: Love Saves the Earth. During the program, he addressed the existence of a storyboard for the final chapter of Detective Conan.
Aoyama designed the charity T-shirt for 24-Hour Television. CHANMINA and Taiga Kyomoto of SixTONES, both die-hard Detective Conan fans, visited Gosho Aoyama’s studio to interview him. CHANMINA has loved Conan ever since discovering the series in her teens, to the point that she says, “Detective Conan is practically built into my DNA.”
Kyomoto, who is also serving as a charity partner, is an equally devoted Conan fanatic and has even earned Level 1 of the notoriously difficult Detective Conan Certification Exam. At last, the two of them were able to fulfill their dream of interviewing Aoyama.
'''When CHANMINA asked, “Did you think from the very beginning that Conan would become this beloved?” Aoyama replied, “No. Not at all. I thought it would probably end pretty quickly.” He said the first time he truly realized how loved the series was came when it was adapted into a movie for the first time. “That was the first time I thought, ‘Wow, people really love this,’” he recalled.'''
'''These days, he seems delighted by the fact that “the anime is on every week (laughs).” Smiling, he added, “When I talked with Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, we said to each other, ‘We’re probably the only ones whose manga gets turned into an anime every single week, right?’”'''
CHANMINA then asked,''' “I’m the kind of person who starts by thinking about the ending. I even live my life with retirement in mind. Do you ever think about things that way?”'''
'''Aoyama responded with a mischievous grin, “I’ve already drawn the storyboard for the final chapter. Want to see it? (laughs),” firmly confirming that a storyboard for the Detective Conan finale does indeed exist.'''
Unable to contain herself, CHANMINA immediately leaned forward and asked, “Really? Is that okay?”
Kyomoto quickly shot back, “You’re not supposed to actually take him up on that!”
Watching the exchange, Aoyama playfully added, “It’s good, you know (laughs).”
