Ai Nakatani (中谷 藍 Nakatani Ai?) is a Japanese animator. She takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime and movies.

Biography

Ai Nakatani is affiliated with Mouse. She debuted in Naruto: Shippuden episode 496 as 2nd key animator. Her drawing skill was quickly recognized and praised among Mouse's new wave of young animators. Because of that, she first became chief animation director on Black Clover in 2019.

Nakatani has been involved in the Detective Conan anime production since 2021, starting with Episode 1021: Rondo in Bad Company as a key animator. She then became animation director for the first time in the Detective Conan anime in Episode 1032: Ran Mouri, The Model. While in general her appearance in the anime is irregular, she served as regular animation director when Kosei Takahashi was absent from the series in 2023.
