There is no rule that the culprit has to be stated in a certain way. Trying to force a one-size-fits-all situation can remove context, such as removing tense (past murder versus present murder), or making complex situations with piecewise culprits more confusing. As long as the whodunnit information is reasonably clear, there is no reason to stick to a formula. If you want a formula, please create a culprit template and use that ''in addition to'' the free text. Could you stop changing all the solutions to "the culprit is x", please?

There is no rule that the culprit has to be stated in a certain way. Trying to force a one-size-fits-all situation can remove context, such as removing tense (past murder versus present murder), or making complex situations with piecewise culprits more confusing. As long as the whodunnit information is reasonably clear, there is no reason to stick to a formula. If you want a formula, please create a culprit template and use that in addition to the free text.
