Hiroshi Nakajima (中島 敬史 Nakajima Hiroshi) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Hiroshi Nakajima is a salaryman who works for an apparel firm named "Lyphard & Roberto, Inc.". It is also no secret that he loves sharks. Four years ago, he always came to go diving in a dive shop called "Ocean Blue", and always requested to go to areas that had sharks. However, due to the rules set up by his wife, Takako, when they got married four years ago, he was only allowed to spend 2000 yen per month. Thereafter, he was determined to make his dream come true one day.
Personality
He is generally known as an "earnest man", who is always afraid of his wife and follows the rules set up by her. Such as telling her everything he is doing, taking photos and sending them to her when he is out, as well as keeping in contact with her every two hours. He is the type of person who goes to work and returns home customarily, just like a mediocre worker. But he has a lot of hidden aspirations to accomplish deep in his heart.

He suddenly went missing three days ago and completely lost contact with his wife, Takako. Normally, he always has to be under the supervision of his wife, for which he lacks a lot of freedom. He also has to deposit his salary every month once he receives it. Takako installed GPS on his phone to track his real-time location every minute. He got rather discouraged that his wife only allowed him to spend 2000 yen per month, which forced him to say goodbye to his favourite hobby, diving. He already stopped diving for four years after he got married to Takako. He is the man who demonstrates all the sorrow, even though it is a bit exaggerated. Therefore, he then put his last hope in his only dream, which was to build his own aquarium. He saved money throughout the year and put it all in the year-end lottery. And unfortunately, he won! And he received one billion yen.
It just happened six months ago. He was considering how he would spend the money without the knowledge of his wife. He surfed online and searched for online cruiser stores, luxury cars, luxury watches, cottages... but it all did not interest him. Later on, he was convinced that he would want to accomplish his dream in the only life he had. He quit the job instantly and decided to start building his own aquarium. He pretended to be still working and deposit the salary every month into his wife's bank account. To resolve the GPS problem, he chose to build his aquarium in the exact same position as his original office, but he just changed the altitude. Since GPS only displays the 2D map, it would be impossible for his wife to notice anything off. Namely, he built his secret aquarium in the same building as the former firm he worked for, just on a different floor. He even filmed a video about his achievement and how proud he was of building the secret aquarium he longed for. He first reinforced the frame so the weight of the water did not destroy it; then he installed the acrylic panel walls; he also considered the layout of the basement; he added water while keeping a close eye on salinity; and lastly, he installed filters and heaters. In the film, Kogoro and Conan could clearly see how passionate he is about diving in the aquarium, but meanwhile, how miserable he has been with his normal life.
He never knew the perilous of humanity, he was then betrayed by his coworker, Nishimura, who learned about his situation and wanted a share of his lottery money. He turned Nishimura down. Nishimura thought that he was not willing to help him just a little, so he attacked Hiroshi under water while he was diving. After Hiroshi's death, what he received in heaven was not the considerate worry and concern from his relatives, but the remorseless act driven by his wife. His wife looked at the photo of her husband and went mad. She kept thinking of the one billion yen her husband had won and shouted that she was a billionaire now. No one cared about Hiroshi's death, but only his legacy. At this rate, Nishimura, who killed Hiroshi, seemed more like an accomplice of Takako. While Takako was immersed in his enjoice, she did not know that her husband had spent all the money to build the aquarium, and no penny was left for her. On the other hand, a mid-aged man's helplessness and sadness were completely sealed in the palace of his dreams.
