Biography

During his time as a ronin, he went to a movie theater in Omiya city and watched the American film Angel Heart, which inspired him to pursue acting. Around 2000, following a senior colleague from the same agency who had started voice acting, he began his own career in voice acting by dubbing villain boss roles in Hong Kong movies.

Atsushi Miyauchi is known for his rough and deep voice. He often voices tough, stoic heroes but sometimes takes on villain roles too. He mainly works as a dub actor for Hollywood movies, while also appearing in supporting roles in anime and video games. Early in his career, he acted in minor and supporting parts in live-action films and TV shows. His first big voice acting role was Masamori Sumimura in Kekkaishi. As a voice actor, he has done many dubs for foreign films, including for actors Mark Ruffalo, Karl Urban, Christian Bale, and Tom Hardy.
