Sometimes it feels that way.

Sometimes I feel I "jinx" everything and tempt fate a tad too much for my liking.

Yes.

I get that feeling ^

In fact, today was the second time I had this sort of 'luck'.

The first time, there was a rock paper scissors tournament. I wanted to lose quickly (to avoid embarrassment)- but ended up winning the entire tournament :V

Today... I wanted an Alto or Soprano 2 part... but I got a Soprano part. I wanted the alto part because I thought that it would fit with my vocal range better... but I ended up hitting one of the highest notes and being sorted into a high Soprano... :V

Is that quote true?

Yes. No matter how happy a person may seem or how perfect their life may feel, they are going through something that they find equally as hard as what you're going through.

The one who laughs the most, also cries the most.

Dunno about this one though.

I think that I cry more than I smile/laugh.

I think that I cry more than I smile/laugh.

Two things:

1. God catches every single tear you cry and stores them in a bottle.

2. (I suggest you read this somewhere private)

You are who you are for a reason.

You're part of an intricate plan.

You're a precious and perfect unique design,

Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason.

Our God made no mistake.

He knit you together within the womb,

You're just what he wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones he chose,

And no matter how you may feel,

They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind,

And they bear the Master's seal.

Now the trauma you faced was not easy.

And God wept that it hurt you so;

But it was allowed to shape your heart

So that into his likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,

You've been formed by the Master's rod,

You are who you are, beloved,

Because there is a God!

Everyone's suffering. It's just some people hide it better than others.

How do they hide it so well?

People are different. They have different personalities and grew up in different circumstances. Like me for instance. I grew up as the eldest child, my parents were often away from home (mom was taking college at that time and dad was always on business), so I learned to take care of myself. In 3rd grade I learned to keep to myself and keep emotions to myself. It's just different experiences.

I see. My parents were never too far away from home... though there was this once when my parents went off for a weekend and my brother and me were crying our hearts out.

(We were like three and four.)

Our aunt brought us to an amusement park, so that solved the problem... I think.

:P My mom had college at that time and my dad was usually off on 3-month business trips. I learned to rely on myself and entertain myself.

I see. Were you alone at home most of the time?

That's not permitted in the US. :V My grandparents were usually there, but they were always doing their own thing. I went up to spend time with S or else I read.

I see. You sound really independent as a kid...

I had to be. My first sleepover was at the age of 3 and I went on a ski trip with S (and without my parents) at the age of 7. My life has been made to grow up quickly. I travelled overseas alone early on as well. It's kinda why I don't get why my sister can't find something to do by herself sometimes, we were raised differently.
