Shannon-time! (Oh, this was kinda long...)
-- -- --
Shannon was driving around NYC with her car. After talking with that girl, Laela, she remembered an accident that had happened three years ago.
*Flashback*
"So you are going to Canada? To that organization?" Thirteen-year-old Laela - or Leah Satinwhite, like she was known earlier - asked from Shannon. They were on their way to a training center with some other FBI agents.
"Yeah, some months and I'll be there. I heard that my half-brother Crispin is there too. As a mole of course. He'll help me in the begining." Shannon answered.
"Aww, I can't meet you anymore then, Scruffy-Sarah."
"Don't call me like that."
"But everyone does."
"Cut it."
"Okay."
After silence that lasted for a while.
"Shannon, you know what? I'm gonna come too." Laela said suddenly. "To help you at the organization."
"What? It's dangerous!"
"Why not? I eavesdropped once when some agents talked and I heard there is also some kids as agents. Besides, I bet they won't except a kid to work for FBI."
"Uh... I'm not saying 'no' but you should talk to the boss first..." Shannon mumbled. Personally she thought Laela's words made sense but she wasn't sure...
Suddenly the driver who drove the van shouted: "Everyone, hold on tight!"
Shannon turned her head to see what was happening outside and saw a motorcyclist who seemed not to be able to stop. "Breaks have broken... That sign... Scarlet Riders..."
The van crashed to a corner of a tower block. The motor cyclist managed to stop but not before a wall of another building. Shannon coughed hard. Her arm was limp, probably broken, and head felt dizzy.
"Leah, are you alright?" She asked immediately and looked around in the van.
"Fine..." She heard a weak voice under her. "Next time when you try to protect me... Don't do it like that..." Laela smiled weakly.
"Is anything broken?" Shannon asked as she helped the girl up and tried to open the van's side-door.
"No. I'm fine. Luckily we were on the side that didn't hit the wall." Laela opened the door since Shannon's right arm didn't work. "Others weren't as lucky as we were."
"At least no one died... Leah, if you come to the organization too, I'll make sure nothing happens to you."
"Eh? So you think it's okay? That I might come?"
"I said 'if'. And that's a promise."
*flashback ends*
"Promise I broke..." Shannon mumbled. "Iram noticed the newspaper article about that accident and Rod told about it to Mark who killed Laela. And that same newspaper article revealed my identity too..."
She hit the gas pedalstal. "Damn you Scarlet Riders..."

Shannon feels slightly quilty.
Some thoughts about this:
*The motorcyclist was Remilia.(the reason why she prefers cars now) But she didn't know who were inside the van.
*Timeline:

Some weeks ago:
-Rod notices from the same paper(he kept that article and checked it time to time) that 'Samuel' is in reality Shannon Lancaster, an FBI agent
