Yea actually you're right.... If Ai stays as a kid, and she grows up together with Mitsuhiko, age probably won't matter. Ai will live longer too xD I think Mitsuhiko will become hot when he's older.

I chose Ran, just so I can add to the number of Ran fans out there....lol. But the sad thing is, if Ai was the one introduced at the very beginning of the series, and if Ai happened to be Shinichi's childhood friend, then I'm sure Ai would've been my favourite character. xD Since that's not the case, and I've already been brainwashed by Ran's love for Shinichi, RAN ALL THE WAY!!! WOOT! Damn I'm biased to the core.

I want Ran and Shinichi to make out passionately on a bed, and then the screen fades to black....voila, no one will know what happened. But I will!!! MUWAHAHAAHA *nosebleed*

OMG yes. :shock: She's the most stereotypical manga heroine; naive, innocent, unrealistically generous, and perfect in almost every way. >___< Both Ai and Ran have their flaws, so it's all good....

If Gosho doesn't let Ran find out, I'm gonna be so mad. =___=; I can't stand misunderstandings like this.... It would've been easier for Conan to tell her at around ep 100. But it's been 600+ episodes...that's just gonna add to the fuel of Ran's anger. @.@ Besides, Shinichi's reason isn't a very good one. The professor's known his secret for how long now, he's still alive and well isn't he? I wish they'd come up with a better reason...

With that brain of his, I don't think Shinichi will need school at all. Heck, he's already involved with the police organization by solving crimes for them. Why would he need school? He's not gonna have any problem getting a job. I'm sure Inspector Megure would give anything for him to work with their police force. Plus, with Shinichi's parents being loaded in cash, he can even open up his own little store, just like the Detective Mouri Agency.

I've thought of her with Mitsuhiko too. But...the fact that there's such a big age gap kind of nags at me. Just imagine a grown up Shiho, with Mitsuhiko. :???: ...unless Ai never gets changed back and they grow together. Actually I'm only cheating myself. >.< The real reason why I don't want Ai to die is because there's probably gonna be a sappy and teary moment between Ai and Conan in the end. And I don't want that. Even though Conan will cry because she's one of his close friends, Ai will probably tell him her feelings, and then Conan's gonna feel guilty and stuff for the rest of his life. I just want them all to find someone and be happy with who they're with. Grr. =(

I hope that in the end, Gosho will let Ai end up with someone. And I doubt he'll let the BO kill anyone of the main characters, like Ran or Ai. If that happens, he'd get a lot of hate mail, right? :? Oh and...thinking about Shinichi and Ran makes me giggle.

LOL you're funny. xD I really really hope you succeed. I'm a ShinRan fan too. It's kinda sad cuz I'm 18...haven't been such a big fanatic of anime couples for a long time. Anyway, for the question that someone posted earlier, I have a few other reasons why people might prefer ConAi. Even though I'm absolutely against this pairing, if the anime was different, I might think diffferently. Usually, when it comes to anime or manga, I tend to admire female characters who are more reserved, cool, and depressive. And I would want her to end up with someone who's witty, laid-back with a good sense of humour and smiles a lot. It's mostly because I'm so tired of seeing naive and ultra-cutsie main female characters. They annoy the heck outta me. So to cut the story short, this type of "mysterious girl with happy-go-lucky boy" pairing is pretty rare, but very much so in demand. I'm not sure about what other ConAi fans think, but these are some of the reasons I can relate to. But despite my description of my ideal female anime character, I love Ran because she's not a ditzy, innocent, whiny girl like most manga heroines. She's such a badass whenever she does her karate thing; the girl has personality! She's so loyal to Shinichi, and yet she hides it well whenever they're with each other. This makes her on par with Ai when it comes to the level of "unique-ness" of their characters. Shinichi matches her well, because although they're not complete opposites of each other (like ConAi), they're extremely compatible, and could be very good partners in catching the bad guys. Shinichi can be the detective and Ran can be the cop. Between ShinRan, it wasn't love at first sight, their love was accumulated for many years. And for that reason, even if Ai loves Conan, her love for him won't ever be able to compare to the love Ran has for Shinichi.

Wow...okay, I had to make an account just to put in my vote. +___+ Anyway, RAN FOR SHINICHI ALL THE WAY!!! lol xP Because I've always thought childhood romance/puppy love is the most sweetest thing ever. Detective Conan portrayed an idealistic love between a little boy and a little girl. Whenever flashbacks of shinichi and ran's past comes up in the anime, it just tugs at my heartstrings. The purity of their love stems from the length of time they've known each other. Although Ai Haibara has more in common with Shinichi, and seem like the "perfect" match for him to some people, it just simply doesn't work for me for this anime. If Haibara had started off being one of the main characters as well as Shinichi's childhood friend, I'd probably have rooted for them. But since this is not the case, I'm all for Ran and Shinichi. Actually, the term "opposite attract" may apply to both pairings. But with Shinichi and Ran, you have to understand that their chemistry existed for a long, long time. They don't act cliche or lovey dovey with each other, and if they did, I would've never supported this couple. They tease each other all the time, and if it wasn't for the appearance of Conan, Shinichi would've never found out about Ran's feelings for him. They are best friends who secretly love each other. And that type of love, to me, is very admirable. Ai might be more suited for Shinichi intellectually, but Ran is in no way overshadowed by her. Although she's not as clever, she's DEFINITELY not dumb. Plus, her kickass karate abilities helped provide a lot of humour in the Detective Conan series. The way she sometimes damage random furniture and objects in the anime shows that she has some punk in her! Even Shinichi is scared of her. I have to say that without this side of her personality, Ran might have appeared to be a less interesting character compared to Ai. Sorry for the long post, I know I said waaay too much. But since I had to go through the trouble of making an account for this, I thought I might as well make it worth all that hassle.
