...Did I forget the "Now-I-feel-compelled-to-stay" part? :V Or the "Unfortunately-that-means-I-can't-take-a-longer-than-one-week-break-away-from-DCW-without-certain-people-going-into-a-mental-breakdown"? :V
Yes...something like that. The Domino effect is basically one person's actions, feelings, attitude, or emotions effect another person who proceeds, as a result of that person, to follow, which then affects, more than likely, more people and then we have a snowball from then on.
So, it goes something like this.
A feels that she is too busy and must go. B, A's best friend, is depressed and leaves as well. C, who's close to both A and B, becomes depressed and leaves. D and E, who both are good friends with C, leave as well. F, who is E's BFF, decides to go. G, D's BFF, decides to leave as well. Etc. Etc.
It's kind of like a building made of blocks, the type that you play when you're little and you each have to take turns taking a block away from the tower without letting it fall. A few pieces can go, but eventually, the building becomes a structure without foundation and the entire thing topples. Even if at first it stays up, it will fall.
It's like how emptiness eventually gets to us.
But...this is also inevitable. We can prolong the time we have, but it's never unlimited. Which is why we rely on newer members to support the community. Unfortunately, we haven't had many that stay for long recently...
Oh, and EDIT:
We do depend on each other, however much you may not try to believe it. We're a community...thus breaking off one person is breaking off a bit from everybody. We do have other stuff IRL, but DCW itself collapses without the people. It's the people that make up the community, not the site.
