    Twilight

*sigh* She can write in the technical sense. It's not that hard. Take a pencil, press it down to a piece of paper, scribble, and hope it looks like words. :3 Sophomoric... That makes my writing freshmanoric. XD Sorry... Just had to say that. @Sayomi: Isn't The Mortal Instruments AWESOME?!?!?!?! Jace! Clary! Simon! Alec and Magnus! :3 to the last one. XD Quite a daring move for the author, but a cute one. :winks:

    Twilight

I will agree Bella is a total Mary Sue, but Edward's cool. I almost always like smart male characters (Jace Wayland FTW!), so I think Edward's cool. As for the peeping Tom thing... He's damned, he doesn't need to follow morals. XD LOL But as for vampires having set standards.... Well, they technically do, but they don't exist (we hopefully don't live in Twilight... Living in the Mortal Instruments series would be awesome though!) so you can just say 'humans had misconceptions' and no one can argue with you. And for sparkling... It's fun to call all the vamps sparkling albino fairy princesses at any rate. :3 :does it all the time: I personally don't think Meyer's writing insults 'real authors'. It's better than what most people can do, and despite what anyone says, it was really popular! The release of a Twilight movie delayed the release of an HP movie for 6 months because they were afraid HP wouldn't get as much profit. If Meyer sucked, she wouldn't have gotten published. That's that. (I will refrain from saying which author I believe insults writing, because it's a really popular author most people love.) Personally, I will go and read The Mortal Instruments series for my FANTASY fix. With my beloved werewolves that love playing video games and the vampire who gets sick at the sight of blood. Originally at least. But Twilight has nice vampires too. ;D I love fandrawn manga style Edward Cullens... So much better than the GN or movie. :3

    Twilight

Have I mentioned I hate my itouch? I had three pretty, long paragraphs all about Twilight written neatly, and my iTouch decided to DELETE EVERYTHING!!!!! Gist: I thought the books were pretty well written, just shallow.

    Twilight

Twilight= Justin Bieber of books. Neither are bad. Get over it people, and stop hating before you actually try and open your mind to it. Nice example Chelsea. ^^ Rep 4 u!

    Twilight

Actually, they tear into shreds because they've suddenly grown too large for them. So they usually strip before transforming. (they go out into the woods! Not in front of Bella!)
  6. Doesn't matter. *shrugs* We'll just pretend... It was a note left by Nero because it was eerily similar to my handwrigin.
  7. Why isn't there more time in a day?!?!

    Twilight

Jacob's not a werewolf. He's a shape-shifter. Technically speaking... I don't like or dislike any particular genre as long as it's written well. For example, the Mortal Instruments series has excellent werewolves and vampires. Vampires that burn to death in sunlight, werewolves that can't stand the touch of silver, etc. etc. But it's not focused on them (thank god.)
  9. No need to pray. I'll like anything you've worked hard on. ^^

  10. I won't hate it. Don't worry.

    Twilight

Can you add a 'I liked it' button? I don't love it, I don't hate it, but I did like it. The movies are terrible though. Ugh. *sigh* Twilight is yet another thing ruined by hyperactive fangirls.... Everybody starts saying "Twilight sucks!" just because that's what everyone else (except for fangirls) say. It's almost sad really. The books aren't half bad. I like Stephanie Meyer's descriptive style a lot to tell you the truth. I also have tons of fun making fun of Twilight, but I don't hate it. It's not a bad read, seriously. (Percy Jackson is. Ugh, hated that first book.)
  12. Well.... You see, I didn't actually leave a note, no time for that, so I sort of forgot....

    Child Abuse

Well, I've never actually been hit, and neither has my brother, so I guess I can't really define it as well as others. But the line is very fine. It's not hard to cross the boundary.

    Child Abuse

It all depends on why it's done... But sticks and belts seem really harsh... I mean, I knew a girl who had her hands slapped with rulers if she played a wrong note on the piano, but, that's too harsh for punishment, and not done under what I'd count as abuse. Though it sort of is. My definition (subject to many changes, fixes, etc. Etc.): Repetitive actions that inflict either serious emotional or physical pain on the child and invoking great fear. <- That's the best I have right now.
  15. Thanks! (I'm such a slow responder...)

    Child Abuse

Well, child abuse is one of those vicious circles. Children who are abused often end up abusive themselves, and so on so forth. The problem is that you can't see which children are abused. If there's one human nature that should be prized, and hated above all others, is how easy it can be to act like nothing's wrong. And for some kids, it's normal, so nothing is wrong in their world. Another point is, while everyone says they'd like to stop child abuse, hardly anyone gets up, thinks of a plan to stop it, and actually tries to carry it out. I'll be the first to admit I don't have the willpower to do such a thing, and I highly doubt child abuse could be completely eradicated. The parents and guardians who do it- well, in their minds, they're right. And they have their own set of complicated problems. Drug abuse. Alcohol. Abusive childhood. If we want to change the world and banish the bane named 'child abuse', you'll have to change everything with it. It can't be done in a generation, and it can't be done by just a group of people. It has to be done by millions, it has to have speakers who are willing to spread the horrors and ways to stop it across the globe, who can kindle courage in the hearts of those who are abused. Who can tell them that they shouldn't be abused, that they should stand up for themselves. In my personal opinion, stories of child abuse should be shared as often as tragic tales of bullying, to show everybody the consequences of this evil. Bullying is often no secret, bullies will embarrass people publicly, and harass them. But abuse... It's done on the sly, out of the public eye, and it's kept in the dark, unnamed, hidden, concealed by layers threats and punishments. I also have a few things to say about the abuser. They should get rehabilitation, because while it is their fault, perhaps they could still fix things. Especially if it's a parent, because no matter what, that's a person who's literally a part of you. Most abused children probably don't hate their parents, probably are scared to death of them, but don't hate them with utmost loathing. I'm not saying they have to live them, however, they need to know that person is somewhere, just for peace of mind. So those are my views, laid out for you all to see. Hopefully, one of us has the strength to start something big, and start changing the world we live in, bring the darkness to the light and cleanse it, and fix it. To erase it as far as it can be erased. There is no such thing as perfection, but the least any of us can do is make the world better, even just the tiniest bit. Who will take the first step?
  17. *********** Nia and Quaria had come easily to the terms Nero provided, promising to keep in touch as they left for the base. Aeyra looked on curiously as they disappeared into the darkness- were all the teenage members desperate to escape? "How do you know you can trust them?" she asked Nero as they walked back to their hotel. "I don't. But I haven't given them any information about us, and we haven't been traced or anything." He shrugged, sighing. "But I think Nia and Quaria are trustable enough. If I've convinced one, I've convinced both. They never disagree." "Did you know them from before?" "We were raised in the Organization together, and then relocated to different bases. We've teamed up a few times though." Nero looked at his watch, and then at the sky. "We have a plane for 10AM tomorrow." "Where are we going?" Chaos's blue eyes were filled with interest. "Texas. That's a big place too. I've contacted the 'region' leaders. They're the top teens in the state. Just like Nia and Quaria were here. Then the day after that we'll be heading to California. We're not hitting all the states," assured Nero, seeing the 'seriously?' look on everyone's faces. "Just enough so I can meet our main allies." ****************** A shaft of moonlight pooled into the folds of the white sheets like liquid silver, illuminating a young teenage girl. She held her cell phone in her hand, an arrow of guilt piercing her with each message. "Where are you?" "Why did you leave?" "Where did you go?" "Are you okay?" "Did you go with the Org?" She could just hear individual voices yelling frantically at her, wondering why she had abandoned the group that had been her family for about a month. It pained her. Slowly, she typed out a message, tediously making sure it was perfect. She sent it, willing herself to put down the phone and wait for morning. I left with the Organization team because I felt that with them, I could go further in our goal. I can't tell you where I am, Nero would kill me, and we're traveling constantly. I'm sorry, but I've made my choice. Stay safe. ~Aeyra
  18. Good job. Now you can think of the note... Because I'm too busy drawing Kaitou Kid and Hakuba. I kind of gave up on the shimeji... But it'll be finished one day.
  19. I found out that I might like one of my friends (male) more than just a friend... DX
  20. No one. Kills. Chaos. That's all I have to say for that. good job guys! I won my volleyball game! XD
  21. Nice! I'm tired...
  22. I said I'd alert Chaos and Nero, tis all... Not really, but I'll tell the ones living in my head. XD I shall write. :3 ******************** I wonder if they realized we're missing yet... thought Aeyra with a pang of guilt for having left her friends behind without an explanation. Her iTouch read 8:30 AM, and the usual wake-up hour was nine due to the late go-to-bed hour. Chaos yawned, playing the DS he had snatched from Nero, eyes fixed on the brightly flashing screen. His blue eyes were distant, distracted, and he wore headphones, locking himself away. Nero had been texting the whole time they were on the bus, and Aeyra seriously had to wonder who the boy was corresponding with- or if he were communicating with several people. Nero had mentioned something about recruiting an army, and perhaps he was contacting future prospects. Maybe planning strategy. Or both. You never knew with Nero. ************* 10 hours later The boardwalk restaurant Nero had chosen was a casual one, complete with palms and tiki flames spread around the outside tables. They hadn't ordered yet, and there were two empty seats at the table, Nero's 'guests' as he referred to him. Aeyra had asked who was coming, but Nero had mainly winked and said, "You'll see." And she was pretty sure she saw now. Two identical girls with raven-colored hair dressed in the same pale gold dress walked over to the table, quietly taking their places. There were red streaks running through their hair, bejeweled silver clips like shafts of moonlight on the night sky. "This is Nia and Quaria. They're the leaders of the 'youth group' here. They're very interested in what we have to offer," explained Nero. "We're just here for negotiation." *********** too tired to write more.... good night,..
  23. Lovely. I'll let Nero and Chaos know. I bet he will find us... @KKLT: I can only guess why it smells like cigarette smoke... And I bet you know the answer too.
  24. Without the hammers and stuff raining down on you, right? My school bathroom smells like cigarettes...
