I have been an anime fan since late 1993. In 1994, I won honorable mention in a short story contest for an original story I wrote in the last semester of my senior year of high school. I started college that fall and received my first introduction to the internet, where I met many fellow fans, but ended up quitting to get a job only two semesters later. I began writing fanfiction of Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2 in 1997, under the screen name Akihiro on the FFML. In 2000, I had to stop writing for quite a while, but my love of anime and manga never faltered. I was a regular viewer of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim from the time it started, and immediately became a fan of Case Closed as soon as it began airing. I started writing some original fiction again around 2006 as time permitted, and was accepted into a creative writing class, where I published numerous short works in the class newsletter. I started attending college classes again in 2007, and began focusing on getting a Bachelor in Business Administration a semester later. My love of anime and manga spawned the idea of starting my own company in that business, but a sudden change in circumstances in 2010 necessitated once again quitting school before I could complete my degree. In 2012, I moved to be near my family and help them out, as both my parents were disabled, which kept me busy much of the time, even more so once I got engaged to a woman who is also disabled. We lost my father in April of 2016, and my fiancee has been busy, so I suddenly found myself with more time on my hands than I've had in years. This led to me catching up on Detective Conan, and the inspiration to write my own stories based on it.
