I don't really understand your suggestion, but it seems like it's already taken care of....?
-
It doesn't happen very often, which is good... but recently I've had two forum members send things through the report system which really belonged in the reported thread, or sent directly to the member who made the original post.
This is not the purpose of the reporting system. The purpose of the reporting system is for members to blow the proverbial whistle on something the moderators may have missed.
I hate to come down as a hard-ass on this, but I will start putting warnings on people's accounts if this gets out of hand.
Thank you all for your continued interest in Detective Conan World.

I'm personally looking forward to seeing Stephen Fry as Mycroft

There's absolutely nothing wrong with watching it twice ... That being said, FUNimation does a respectable job on the translation, as long as you're watching it with subtitles and the original Japanese audio
However... they did move the after-credits clip (at the end of the movie) to before the credits, which feels weird but is relatively inconsequential... One thing I wish they would have done was left the closing credits video intact

I found one of them... "What gets on your nerves"

I think there's already another thread like this

DCTP said they put most of the series back up on their streaming page, so you could always try there
-
thanks to anyone who came to hang out with us!
if for whatever reason you missed the live stream, you can still support Child's Play by going directly to their website!
-
reminder to everyone that this is happening tomorrow!
come hang out with us (there's now a link on the cafe page, to take you to the streaming site we'll be using)

Well, you could always share the audio file only and time it to the fansub. Then the user that wants to watch only has to dub over.
Then again... I'm not sure of the demand for fandubs in DC.... >_>
That's also an awful lot of work you're expecting the viewer to do
But you're right, English dubs of DC do tend to be a sensitive topic

This becomes a touchy subject, and if nothing else falls squarely into the "no direct links" category
In other words, so that we don't get into problems with official licensing, I'll ask that if you do decide to do it (don't want to squash people's creativity, after all), that none of the links are shared as a media tag or with the "http" prefix, since both of those options will put the video in direct link with our forums... in other words, a URL that begins "www" will be sufficient, and then people can copy and paste it into their browser

Alright you people are reading things that I never wrote... Don't know how or why.
I promise that I wasn't... I was just making the point that all the films people had mentioned so far were dramas
-
And not every classic movie has to be a drama, just look at The Princess Bride
-
As with all timeline issues in the Conan universe, don't hurt your brain too badly trying to get everything to match up nice and neat... it's not worth the struggle

there are already several threads related to movie 15... so I'll be locking this one

I have a question:
What does XviD and H264 mean? Which one should I download?
XviD is standard definition, and H264 is high-def... usually with animation, on a relatively current computer, there shouldn't be a whole lot of difference (I usually get the XviD copy because I'm more concerned about storage space)
-
That's funny because anime is the Japanese shortening of the French word for animation that refers to all animation. We are borrowing a borrowed word. So I say screw it. let's pluralize it, it's the American way.Besides due to what I said anime it's by definition now an American English word as we changed the definition to refer only to Japanese animation. I'm sure the same can be said of manga.

True about anime... not true about manga

DCTP has announced that the English subbed version will be released sometime today

(and I believe this thread is better off in General or something):
there is another one of these threads in "General"... the originator didn't wait for a staff member to move it.
so I'll be locking this one

I don't think it matters what color he's in, because the stories aren't canon
...and I know that's kind of a cop-out, but I can't imagine too many people put much thought into it besides the people in charge of making the character designs

There's a very cute x-mas case early on in the series - I think the episode number is 42... "The Karaoke Box Murder Case"
