The point is to challenge you/make your practice, so normally you would draw something new and original each day. Some don't do it every single day in succession, so don't fret too much if you can't! HOWEVER, it makes good practice for making deadlines if you try to! You can post it anywhere you like! If you don't have some sort of blog that would benefit from it, I suggest posting it here

There wasn't one of these that I've seen, so I made one based on the DMC 30 day drawing challenge! Here's the Tumblr post if you want it that way. 1. Favorite character 2. Conan 3. Your least favorite character 4. Favorite police officer 5. Favorite gadget being used 6. Kaitou Kid 7. Pick a character and give them traditional Japanese clothing 8. Ran and Kazuha 9. Favorite female character solving a case 10. Shinichi 11. Choose another fandom and pick a character. Draw that character meeting the famous Mouri Kogoro 12. Haibara/Shiho 13. Draw one of the characters you consider less loved 14. Detective Boys 15. Genderbend a character or two 16. Favorite pairing 17. Satou 18. Heiji thinks he solved a case before Shinichi 19. Thanks, kirite! As for what I've been doing lately, I've been busy busy busy selling and making things. Lately I've done: more and more and more Soul Gems from Puella Magi Madoka Magica! Soul Gems for My Little Pony! (I'll post some of the real photos on here later, I can't get good shots at night and I didn't get good photos of some of the Rarity ones before I sold them :( ) Elements of Harmony! Fun fact: Kyuu was sitting right next to me when I took that photo. Fun fact 2: That is my phone, which the Russian Lackey in The Avengers has/gives to Black Widow when she is being interrogated.Rupee Pillows! I'm currently doing a giveaway for one of the rupee pillows, that ends at 12:01 AM EST, July 17th. I just want to point out that using reference material is NOT "cheating." Anyone worth their salt has used a model or reference material. THAT SAID, I want to also say that redrawing someone's photograph actually becomes a copyright violation. The best way to keep from running into this problem is by taking your own photos to use as reference material. The best way to get awesome poses for practice is to take a movie and pause it randomly. Using Kung Fu movies are a fantastic way to learn gesture drawing, but make sure you only work for maybe 30 seconds! You don't want to work too much on one little practice.

I'm just going to casually point out that Kaito also has a very, very similar hat. But if it turned out that Amuro/Bourbon/Scar Akai was Kid, I might lose it. or it might be the greatest thing ever...??

Most people do start with the eyes. As a rule of thumb, straight on eyes are an eye width apart, unless you're like me and it's actually less than that. Yes, I am a mutant. XD I'll be honest, as an artist and knowing many, many artists, I have never known a single one who can draw exactly what they imagine things to be in their head. I also don't think any of them "draw" in their head, and then do the exact same thing on paper. If someone has the ability to start from any point and draw it straight up, that is more of a photographic memory or a memorization of the anatomy and ability to read where things should go from there. Most artists have to block out the form, starting from the basic gesture as you showed here.
