Kazunari Kouchi (古内 一成 Kouchi Kazunari?, January 18, 1956–July 18, 2016) is a Japanese screenplay writer. He is best known for his work on episodes of the anime Detective Conan, and for writing and producing most of the movies released before his retirement in 2014.

Kazunari studied under the renowned scriptwriter Ei Ogawa, and debuted in the TV drama Taiyō ni Hoero! in 1979. After that, Kanzuari is continually active in the industry. In 1996, Hiroshi Kashiwabara, who is the screenwriter for the manga case Roller Coaster Murder Case, invited him to join the Detective Conan animation production team. Furthermore, he was the screenplay of several TV originals, manga adaptions, movies, OVAs, magic files, and short stories etc.

On the 18th of July, 2016, he died of pancreatic cancer. The year after, movie 21 put a title card "In memory of Kazunari Kouchi" at the end credits of the film.
