Yumi is modeled after her voice actress and appears as herself in episode 504 as a reporter from Nichiuri News, a subsidiary of Nichiuri TV and reports a major event happening in Raiha Pass, near Tokyo where an unknown man from the police (in fact Shuichi Akai) was found burned inside and american car, a Chevrolet Pick-up truck, and that there was an explosion as police officers arrived. She works in the evening news department.
