Tanaka married fellow voice actor Koichi Yamadera on June 17, 2012, coinciding with his 51st birthday.[2] They later held a wedding ceremony in Oahu, Hawaii on January 3, 2013, coinciding with her 34th birthday.[3] Her husband voiced the character Kyosuke Haga during the three-part Detective Conan episode Dissonance of the Stradivarius (385-387). They announced their divorce on August 3, 2018.[4]
