Miwako Shibata (柴田 美和子 Shibata Miwako) is a Japanese animator. She does in-between animation, key animation and animation director works in Detective Conan anime and OVAs. She was formerly affiliated with Sunshine Corporation.
Works in Detective Conan
Starting with Pro Soccer Player Blackmail Case, in 1996, Shibata began to work as an in-between animator for the Detective Conan anime. She then switched to do key animation from 2000 onwards. At that period, she mainly worked under those episodes done by Sunshine Corporation. Until 2003, Shibata temporarily terminated the participation in the anime.
In 2010, Shibata was finally back to the production of Detective Conan anime. However this time as a freelancer animator, and continued to work as key animator. Most importantly, Shibata had also served as the assistant animation director for the 3rd part of Taiko Meijin's Shogi Board for once.
