Marie Nagano (長野 真理恵 Nagano Marie) is a Japanese animator, and holds the position of animation director and key animation in Detective Conan anime. She is credited as "長野まりえ".
Works in Detective Conan
Marie's initial role in Detective Conan anime was key animation, after she joined the anime production in 1997, starting with The Train Trick Murder Case.
Being a key animator for approximately nine years in the anime, Marie mainly worked in the episodes where Hiromi Muranaka or Atsushi Aono were present as animation directors. After 2006, Marie decided to switch the cooperation irregular, only until 2018 she started participating again. In 2020, she became an animation director in Kaiju Gomera vs. Kamen Yaiba (Prologue).
Owing to the fact that Marie always had worked inside the animation director Atsushi Aono's key animation team for several years, her drawing style has some similarities comparing to Aono's.
