Keitaro Motonaga (元永 慶太郎 Motonaga Keitarō?) is a Japanese animation director and producer. His name is also written as "もとなが けいたろう"; while his pseudonym is Taro Chikuho (筑豊 太郎 Chikuhō Tarō?), from the ancient province of Chikuho, which is now in Fukuoka Prefecture, where he lives.

Keitaro Motonaga was born in Fukuoka Prefecture[1]; he used to be affiliated with Studio X (スタジオX)[2], despite that the studio had been disbanded since 2005, Motonaga still collaborated with some animators who belonged to that studio as well. Furthermore, he once mentioned in an interview that he never consults the original manga/work when executing the anime adaptation[3]. As such, many of his animation adapted works were fairly far from the original, which brought up some controversial refutes. He is sometimes joked by the fans as "original work crusher" (原作粉砕機 ?)[4][5].

Motonaga only served as an episode director in the Detective Conan anime, in one single episode and two episodes of Two Hour Special.
