Shizuka Mine (峰 静香 Mine Shizuka) is a supporting character in Gosho Aoyama's second manga Yaiba. She makes a brief appearance in a chapter of Magic Kaito, another one of Aoyama's mangas, which has been adapted into an OVA.
Background
Shizuka is the wife of the head of the Mine family, Raizo Mine and has a daughter named Sayaka, one of the protagonists in Yaiba.

Shizuka and her daughter have hired Kogoro Mouri so he could keep Kaitou Kid from stealing their family's treasured sword. Unfortunately, Kogoro isn't very much useful and instead, Yaiba Kurogane has to fight Kid to protect the sword.
