Viz Media, LLC, headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States, is an anime, manga and Japanese entertainment company founded in 1986 as Viz, LLC. In 2005, the Viz, LLC. and ShoPro Entertainment merged to form the current Viz Media, LLC which is jointly owned by Japanese publishers Shogakukan and Shueisha, and Shogakukan's licensing division Shogakukan Productions (ShoPro Japan).[1]

Detective Conan

The company brought the rights to distribute the Detective Conan manga in 2004, under the name Case Closed. Viz distributed the physical manga bimonthly from Volume 1 to Volume 34. From Volume 35 and onwards, the series has been released trimonthly. Currently, 98 volumes has been released physically.

As of 2025, all the chapters has been translated into English and they're available on Viz Manga app's online simulpub subscription service[2].

In June 12, 2026, the 3-in-1 revised edition of the manga has been announced, bringing back the title Detective Conan and with Japanese character names[3].

Yaiba: Samurai Legend

Following the announcement of a new TV series for Yaiba in Japan, Viz Media announced in October 2024 at the New York Comic Con that it will start publishing the series in English starting in July 2025[4][5][6] titled Yaiba: Samurai Legend. Currently, 4 volumes has been released physically

Since March 20, 2025, the chapters were also made available through Viz Media app's online simulpub subscription service[7].
