I think those paintings are in fact in scenes of certain episodes but I need to be sure which one so I'll search.

To respond to your question, Inaka is not a precise place, it is a common name given to many little unnammed vilagesd accross the countryside of Japan. It is a name given to villages who just have a few houses, rice fields and without any large cities near it. I hope my answer has been useful to you.
