Revision as of 16:28, 1 December 2012
Tool for family trees.
Text-only trees

This gives:
| {DAD} | {MOM} | ||||||||||||||
| {CH1} | {CH2} | ||||||||||||||
Next, add names to the boxes like this:

Giving:
| Shiro Suzuki | Tomoko Suzuki nee ? | ||||||||||||||
| Ayako Suzuki | Sonoko Suzuki | ||||||||||||||
And you can color the boxes:

Giving:
| Shiro Suzuki | Tomoko Suzuki nee ? | ||||||||||||||
| Ayako Suzuki | Sonoko Suzuki | ||||||||||||||
Adding images
In order to have images on a family tree, characters must have a family tree template created for themselves. See Template:Familytree/Sonoko Suzuki for an example. To use the templates, write the template name where you'd normally just write the character name when using the text-only template.
Example:

Giving:
| Shiro Suzuki | Tomoko Suzuki | ||||||||||||||
|
Ayako Tomizawa née Suzuki | Sonoko Suzuki
These boxes can also be colored:

Giving:
| Shiro Suzuki | Tomoko Suzuki | ||||||||||||||
|
Ayako Tomizawa née Suzuki | Sonoko Suzuki
