Part 1

Kogoro is hired to capture the best assassin in the country, a man or woman known only as the Fox. When multiple murders begin to occur though, it could cost everyone involved their life.

Part 2

The clues go to show that multiple murders have been made, and Jericho the Fox isn't responsible for all of them, but who is Jericho, and can Conan and Kogoro successfully work together on the case?

The Fox was responsible for Saegusa and Hirai's deaths, having killed them for being in the wrong place at the right time. However, this was a gambit from Bunzou, who wanted to kill the Fox with his own hands. He never was ill or willing to die: it was all feigned to get close to The Fox and murder him in punishment for having accidentally caused the death of his little daughter Chisato; during one of his assassinations, his car crashed on a school bus and killed the little girl.

The Fox was disguised as Juukichi Iwata, the cottage caretaker, and Bunzo confronts him. Conan stops stop Bunzo by showing him the pic of Chisato that he kept in his wallet and begging him to not taint his hands, then he makes sure the Fox is taken into custody.

Trivia

• The story Shingo Nose is said to have written describes the plot of another anime original episode, The Mysterious Woman With Amnesia Case. Nose's character design seems to be based off of Maya's: he even appears to be wearing her headband.
