Takashi Hashimoto (橋本 敬史 ,Hashimoto Takashi) is a Japanese animator. He mainly works as effect animation director for Detective Conan anime and movies.

Biography

Takashi Hashimoto joined Jungle Gym (じゃんぐるじむ) in 1984 after graduating from high school. After 4 years, he became a freelancer and had worked in several studios, such as AIC, Studio Fantasia, D.A.S.T, Studio 88, etc. In 1991, he participated in the establishment of the freelance animator group "Gabo Miyabi". He joined Tatsunoko Production in 2005 while working on Karas, remained within the company while also particpating in projects for various companies, before become freelance again in March 2018.

Hashimoto is peculiarly known for his explosion special effects. Rendering explosion, fire, smoke, and water in animations are his strengths. His drawing characteristics are obviously those grandiose-scale fragmentation explosions, thus he usually works as effect animation director.

In Detective Conan, he was only responsible for the effects of two episodes. He also served as effect animation director for 4 movies from 2019 until 2023.
