    Koshien Stadium

The Hanshin Koshien Stadium (阪神甲子園球場 Hanshin Kōshien Kyūjō?), commonly referred to as the Koshien Stadium, is a ball park located in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, near the city of Kobe. Every year, the National High School Baseball Championship takes place at the stadium and is attended by hundreds of thousands of visitors. The event is commonly referred to as the Summer Koshien. It also appears in Detective Conan, in the 2-hour special Miracle at Koshien Ball Park! The Defiants Face the Dark Demon. Its appearance in 3rd Base Fourth doesn't differ from the real location, save for the clock on the scoreboard, in which the brand name is Saiko instead of Seiko, for obvious trademark reasons.

    Trivia

    • By lifting his glove, the Umesho Academy catcher performs an intentional walk, which signals to the pitcher that the catcher doesn't want the batter to swing at the pitched ball. The pitcher would then make an intentional ball, pitching intentionally too far for the batter to hit it.
