Biography
Takehiro Hamatsu first joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 1997, and he only did key animation for The Mystery Weapon Murder Case. Then, in 2001, he returned and served as the animation director for a few episodes.
Hamatsu became a regular animation director (despite in a short duration) for the anime by replacing Masayuki Hiraoka. He is extremely capable of drawing/correcting close-up shots, however not so eminent when it comes to far and long-distant shots. After stepping down, his position was then replaced by Keiichi Ishida.
