Haruo Ogawara (大河原 晴男 Ōgawara Haruo) is a Japanese animation director. He was mainly active during the first seasons of Detective Conan, specifically in 1996-1997. He is affiliated with P.R.A (ピー・アール・エー).
Works in Detective Conan
Ogawara began to participate in the production of the Detective Conan anime since the beginning, starting with the fourth episode The Coded Map of the City Case, after that, he served as an animation director regularly.
He is somewhat well-known among the Detective Conan fandom owing to the radically different artstyle compared to the rest of the staffs. Though it appears to be much closer to Gosho Aoyama's early artstyle for the Detecive Conan manga, and in line with Aoyama's early drafts he made for the anime production.
