Since the surname "Jiu" (九) is not a very common name in Chinese, in most cases it is derived from the Shang dynasty and the Spring and Autumn period, which was approximately 3000 years ago. Therefore, the name "Jiu Ri" is most likely a pseudonym.[1]

Jiu Ri (九 日 Jiǔ Rì?) is a Chinese animator from Zhejiang Province. They only served as animation director in Detective Conan anime. They are affiliated with Studio Mindo (宁波麦冬映画), a Chinese animation firm that has recently involved in a Mouse outsourcing episode, episode 1076, for which the firm name was credited as "animation director" as a whole.
