Just want to ask your opinion about vodka. He seems to be a plain character in the entire series but is there any chance that he may become a vital character in the series?

His role, as stated in the translated BO segment of the Conan Drill booklet, is Gin's secretary (research on the subject/Setting up meetings/Driver/etc..) Please refer to his page on the Wiki: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Vodka

 

As for if he will be  a vital character in the series.. I'm not sure what you mean by that given where you are in following the series. But if you mean by the final part of the story, I can't say, he was pretty much a generic thug when the manga began, and Gosho didn't plan on the series running that long in the first place. Because of all the newer agents having attention focused on them, I really pretty much doubt it, he's not been given much to do anymore other than to stand by and watch as things happen, hell, Gin, has been given the same job these days.
