Yes, I believe I've acknowledged that in my post. You're making a generalization here. I don't hate AiCon/ShinShi, I just don't favor it either. In fact, Haibara Ai is one of my favorite characters. What I think is that ShinRan is the better pairing. I am perfectly fine with reading AiCon/ShinShi, beta-ing AiCon/ShinShi, etc. I just think that Ran is a better match for Shinichi and Ai deserves to get a real childhood. True.
