Well of course I think he cares for them- but he never shows it. We have no proof that he's loyal is my point. If I didn't think he cared about his friends I wouldn't support AyuCon now would I? He's just never shown friendship like Ayumi and Haibara have or Sonoko and Ran. We don't know if he cares that deeply. He's too shallow of a character to really know.
