  1. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry
A short, but nice story with deeper meaning

At the moment, I'm reading I Am Not a Serial Killer by Dan Wells

YES, let's get this fandom reading! I'd love to see better fanfiction.
btw, has anyone said, ARTEMIS FOWL yet? It's awesome >:]. the whole series.

I have, but I haven't been able to get my hands on the final book yet :(

  2. The manga is an adaptation of the anime, so the anime is "borrowing" from the manga, it's the other way around. :P I'm not sure how much of the anime you've watched, but I can't think of anything that would leave you confused if you hadn't read the manga, so all I can say is that it would be explained in the end. It's not necessary to read the manga to understand the anime, and vice-verca.

Also, has anyone else listened to the K character songs? I find Kuroh's song hilarious.

"Kitchen's my space so nobody can invade!" XD

  3. Summary from http://k-project.wikia.com

"Yashiro Isana has lived a relatively ordinary, simple life. He lives in the technology-advanced Shizume City and attends Ashinaka High School, a notable high school that is located on an island just outside the areas. Yashiro is friendly with everyone. Nothing ever seems wrong about, except perhaps his habit of forgetting where his school's PDA is.

However, nothing normal has been happening since the recent murder of Tatara Totsuka, prominent member of the infamous HOMRA. No one knows who exactly killed him but the man responsible bears an uncanny, identical appearance to Yashiro. Seeking vengeance, the Red Clansmen of HOMRA set out to get Yashiro and kill him.

Everyone suspects that Yashiro is the murderer. But whether the guilt is his is not clear."

Has anyone else watched this anime? I didn't think much of it until about halfway through the first episode, although I really love the music, the setting and characters.

There are also two manga prequels to this series, call K-Memory of Red and K-Stray Dog Story.

  4. I don't mind if I don't get something on my wishlist, but my favourite DC character is Kaito KID! I don't dislike any characters so anyone else would be fine. Other things I like are dragons and pretty much every other animal XD I've also been into Angel Beats, Lagoon Engine and DN Angel lately.

  5. Hey, look- Something new!

    Untitled_zpsae2b5387.jpg

I started making this puzzle-shaped plate months ago in my ceramics class but it took weeks to finish since I only had one hour per week to work on it after the first two weeks >.> Some parts of the underglaze (paint for clay) weren't as thick as I thought so that's why not all the colours are solid, but I'm quite happy with it ^^

After it was glazed it was so shiny that I couldn't take a good photo of it (I'm not a photographer) so here's a photo of it before it was fired.

  6. I also really like the Golden Angel as well ^^ The colours and the clouds look really nice and their body positions look pretty natural (especially Yellow)

Something you could improve on is the wings. I'm really sorry if I'm being harsh, but... they look like feathers hanging off a stick. I know there are some great tutorials out there and tonnes of photos you could use as reference and if you take the time to look at a bird's wing and practice drawing it, they'd look better and more natural. ^_^

  7. (You didn't take over my underworld, but you were ordering around my underlings)

You should not have lain me on a bed of flowers. I woke up sneezing because of all that pollen. Still, it was comfortable there so I spent a while sleeping there anyway. When I finally felt that I had rested well, I got up, stretched, and decided it was time to go back to ruling my hill. I sat hidden in a nearby tree thinking of a creative, foolproof plan to get rid of the two of you. In the end, I just ended up luring you away with a giant doughnut. A plastic doughnut, might I add?

I am queen of the hill!

  8. Sorry, but it didn't work because I had my fingers crossed. After discovering that you were messing with my underworld (which I took over back in page 1), I decided to take my revenge by capturing you in a cage of fire and keeping you as my prisoner. After about 2 minutes the flames began to annoy me so I flew you on a helicopter and dropped you somewhere in the Sahara desert before going back to claim my hill. I am Queen of the hill!

  9. (Yay, this thread lives!)

I don't know who Rye called, but it doesn't look like any ambulance ever came to get me. If you're all going to fight with lightning and ice, then I'll just run off to the nearest pokemon centre. I take out my reshiram and some random oddish that I caught. First, I send reshiram off to defeat you while oddish and I go look for some delicious berries to help me as I request that they stay out of this fight and leave it to the mortals to fight it out. Then I return to my reshiram and claim my hill. Once again, I am Queen of the hill!

  10. I watched the movie and read the first book. I would have to say that I prefer the book over the movie. It has more detail and the emotion is more effective in my opinion, excluding the scene of the Reaping.

What the movie did that the books couldn't is that it helped me to visualise the scenes better but it is probably better to read the book before watching the movie because it might be a bit hard to understand. I watched it with some friends of mine and the ones who hadn't read the book had no idea what happened and why in some scenes of the movie which the book had explained.
