    guys , in episode 259, haibara asked conan if he feels someting strange about james black , he said no but his first name, is just like professor james moriarty, sherlock  holmes biggest enemy , i don't why i felt its an obvious hint that he might be the boss , since conan is the heisei holmes , anyway does anyone know how did conan know akai shuichi's name? in the anime he saw him once in the bus  ,then in that episode he already knew his name

    it was obvious even before the mystery train arc , i mean would gosho bother creating a character as powerful as akai, with such background and intelligence almost equivalent to shinichi , and kill him? just like that cause gin wanted to ? oh no he wouldn't , we've been good to gosho and waited for what seems like an eternity without complaining he wouldn't kill akai, i will be mad like hell :D

    i have a question , in episode 76 : conan vs. kaito kid , it was supposed to be the first time for  conan / shinichi to meet kaito , he said he isn't interested in thieves , and then he saw him for the first time at the top of that building, but in episode 219 , shinichi was trying to capture him ,and he seemed to be well aware of his inteligence and such , so is that a plot hole or what ? or they wanted to make a special so they ignored the old episode ?

    i learned a lot of useless things about crime, poisons now where ever i go i wait for a crime to happen  that's just sick :D

    i learned to wait and wait and wait for new episodes

    i learned to suspects every action by others and catch up with details

    and conan is the main reason why i loved japan , now im trying to learn japanese, and read about japanese culture and such :)

    but, lets say a mafia killed my father, and i killed the mafia's boss, and the boss' son killed my family , we would be living in a jungle don't you think ? even if the law and order in life isn't perfect and doesn't punish every criminal and perform justice perfectly, you can go out and kill people for the name of justice, you're then just as bad as thy are

    i think what conan stands up for is justice and justice only , even if the one getting killed are scumbags , you shouldn't feel sorry for a killer he had a choice , and he choosed the wrong path , you can't go ahead and kill people if life was unfair. but you know what drive me crazy is when someone is murdered, and his friends are like "oh its okay lets rest in our rooms till the police is here" what are you people made of your best friend just got killed ! not a single tear? :D

    i didn't know anything about lupin until i watched conan vs. lupin the 3rd , so i can't really give an opinion , he's funny i like him but i like kid more  :D  i know you said no fangirling but he's so cute  :P  :wub:  also i sympathize with kid , he's not really a thief since he turns back the stolen jewels he just wanna know who killed his dad , and he has a kind side

    1) I don't think so.For me the characters appear to be the same.

    There are some different details,like in Movie 12 they say that Conan has perfect pitch and they don't do that in the manga but even that might be possible:

    In the episode 385 Conan has an argument with Ran about the notes of Anokata's number.

    In the episode 387 we can see that Conan was right although Ran is more musical (singing,playing piano).

    Haga tells Conan that he got "good ears".It's not that easy to define the notes even if you're not musical.

    So there's a good chance that Conan really has perfect pitch.

    For me the movies/OVAs/fillers are well-made and they don't disturb the manga/regular episodes.

    Of course,it's difficult to convert a manga to an anime.But comparing to other animes it's really close to the manga which I really like.

    Sometimes filler appear to play in another month or something like that but the time line in Detective Conan is anyway really complicated.

    2)Volume 48,Chapter 11 - Shinichi's birthday is mentioned.

    3)Surely,Gosho does not make the entire movie but he has a big influence on it.

    It seems like he is "overseeing" the whole production.

    In 2011 in an interview he said that he is proud of movie 5 and he spoke about suggestions he made

    for movie 15,drawing Shinichi's face for a scene and giving Conan a phrase from the manga that he liked.

    So you see he is involved in the process.

    Besides I don't think that they can make Ran blonde, Akemi alive or change detective agency just because they want it.

    But how you write it seems like the movies would be totally apart in a different world but for me it's not the case.

    I know that movies are in way separate ,plus I always wrote "For me" or "IMO" they are an extension to the canon.

    i agree with you i count all the movies and ovas canon cause i like them , and it doesn't harm "the characters image" for me, not really , it's just my opinion. i mean ran didn't confess because she thought kaito kid was the one listening to her , conan didn't either since ran thinks he was quoting kogoro, gin didn't actually kill sonoko he realised she was different etc.. , as for the scenes when conan appears to be too perfect and unhuman ,that already happen in the anime and manga he always saves the day , so ?
