Fair enough, though you'd think Gosho would be pro enough (he has been doing this for so many years after all) to trace out how much space Ran would have taken before drawing her completely in. As a mangaka, space management is extremely important when it comes to setting the scene and the mood and ensuring everything you want to get across is done so efficiently and elegantly, especially for something like DC where even small details in the background can be important. Understandably, it's obviously harder to gauge proportions for page-large images as opposed to panel-large ones, and Conan is usually the one featured on chapter covers as opposed to Ran. And the pose she was making was kind of a weird one, I'll admit.
And is Gosho responsible for all the drawing in the chapters (save for the backgrounds of course, which are done by assistants)? Or does he sometimes have his assistants draw the actual characters?
