Joji Yanase (柳瀬 譲二 Yanase Jōji) is a Japanese animation director, who works for Detective Conan anime and movies. He was initially from the studio Oh! Production (オープロダクション).

Biography
Joji Yanase did numerous key animation works in the anime ever since his debut in 1996. However, in 2000, Yanase left the production team temporarily, after finishing the key animation work of the One Hour Special Episode 208: The Entrance to the Maze: The Anger of the Colossus. In 2007, Yanase returned to the Detective Conan anime production team, and just the following year, he was promoted to animation director, starting from Episode 515: Kaitou Kid's Teleportation Magic. After that, he had done a few works in the anime irregularly until 2020.
Starting 2022, from Episode 1054: The Spark That Fell on the Ranch (Part 2) onwards, Yanase began to serve as animation director regularly for the Detective Conan anime.
Among the staff list of Movie 25: The Bride of Halloween and The Culprit Hanzawa, Yanase's name can also be seen, as the role of animation director.
