Koji Sametani (鮫谷 浩二 Sametani Kōji) is a non-cannon former police officer.
Background
He and Kogoro seem to have alot of history together as both were police employees who used to go out drinking together, He was a former employee of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department criminal affairs division's reform preparation office and he was part of the the case involving Kansuke, he was killed after planning to meet with Kogoro.
Personality
He seemed to be fairly nice and serious.
