Wataru Date (伊達 航 Date Wataru) is a character in the manga franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Wataru Date was a detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police District's Criminal Investigation First Division and served as Wataru Takagi's mentor.[1] After a stake out, he got caught up in a car accident and died in the presence of Takagi.[2] It was later discovered that he had a connection with Tooru Amuro.
