Conan, Kogoro, and Ran take the overnight North Star Express to Hokkaido to meet a former client. On the train, they meet up with a series of people. However, in the night, a murder case occurs when a burglar seemingly kills a jewelry trader, and escapes through the window. The train stops to find his dead body outside.
