Airi Tsuyuki (露木 愛里 Tsuyuki Airi)[1] is a Japanese animation director. She takes part in the production of Detective Conan movies.
Biography
Airi Tsuyuki has had an interest for anime since she was a child[2]. Even though she was not good at it at first, she started practicing drawing anime characters, and would get praise from her mother. She would also show her drawings to her friends at school to get feedback. In high school, she was in the literature club. When she saw The Heroic Legend of Arslan in her high school years, she resolved herself to work in the anime industry[2]. She started as an in-between animator in 2018, being credited in episode 15 of Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File, which aired in July of the same year. She was then working with Liden Films. She found her start in the industry hard, but was able to meet a senior who was able to teach her new techniques when she started doing key animation[2]. In December 2018, she was credited for the first time as 2nd key animation in episode 10 of Boarding School Juliet. In 2020, she was credited for the first time as key animation, in episode 19 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens, which aired in October. She was credited as animation director for the first time in episode 14 of the 4th season of Kingdom, which aired in July 2022. She thus continued being active as an animation director for series animated by Liden Films. In 2023, she was appointed to chief animation director, for season 2 of Tokyo Revengers, a series she is a fan of[2].
Her first participation in Detective Conan would be in late 2024, when she becomes an assistant animation director for movie 28, which aired in April 2025. She participated in the animation of the following movie.
