I'd like to add to the anime episodes pages a link to Detective Conan Anime Shonen Sunday Comics Visual Selection (but only for the episodes that were actually transposed to manga), just like the box present at the bottom of the template in the movies' pages. Dear Nakamura,
:hi 185.93.230.10!, I think this painting is in fact in scenes of certain episodes but I need to be sure which one so I'll search.

There is a user named floofboy who has been making many changes in an inappropriate manner on the Let’s Talk with Gosho Aoyama Day page. These edits appear to be intended solely to promote his page as the “professional translation,” while implying that other translations are machine-generated—such as through the way the year titles are written. This has become quite frustrating.

He seems eager to promote his page, and I have no issue with that in principle; however, changing the year headings arbitrarily according to personal preference is not acceptable.
I'm thinking of creating a page for normal characters and other minor law enforcement characters. I think I'll first need approval. I saw they put pages for normal characters in Conanwiki.org

Hey! Saw you had requested help with 651's voice cast. I moved the voice cast in the template to the correct spot so now it'll appear correctly on the page. (At least I'm assuming that's what the problem was.) Feel free to add in the voice cast as you find it. :) Voice cast in the template needs to be directly underneath the Conan Hint segment in order for it to appear on the page. --Skyechan (talk) 18:24, 22 June 2018 (CEST)

Hello! Sorry for the delay. I fixed the voice cast on the pages you mentioned. In order for the voice cast entries to appear correctly, the voice cast segment must be located directly beneath the Conan Hint entry and above the Director segment in order to show up on the page. --Skyechan (talk) 21:26, 29 July 2018 (CEST)

Re: Problems
:* Last year, in 2025, I had difficulty creating a wiki account, so I asked a friend of mine to add my Let's Day 2025 translation to the page in an additional section. User Manvel reverted this change with no explanation, so I went to receive confirmation from the admins in Discord that multiple translations would not be an issue before reverting their reverts. I asked in their Talk page for their reasoning on why they reverted my translation, but received no response- they silently deleted my discussion months later.
Episodes 602 and 681-683 are fixed. Suspects functionality was removed as explained by Chekhov in the History section of the template's page back in 2015. ( https://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Template:InfoBox_TV&action=history ) "The suspects section is just asking for trouble with spoilers, especially in cases where there is supposedly no suspects, like a "suicide". Revert if you like, but please start a talk page discussion if you do" is what she wrote as the explanation. I don't know what you mean by the "character design" not working as that's not a part of the template nor are we intending to add it. I noticed you responded to me on your page previously; I don't check User talk pages that aren't mine, so if you need to get my attention, write on my discussion page. ^^; --Skyechan (talk) 04:22, 12 August 2018 (CEST)
+
:* Also in 2025, they silently overwrote my anan interview translation with their machine-translated version instead of adding it as a different version.
 +
:* This user themself noted that the translation was "edited" by them, as opposed to translated by them. It is not incorrect to mark it as machine-translated, and I also noted the previous 2024 Let's Talk day translation not by them was also machine-translated. Knowing which translations are machine-translated is important so contributors who know Japanese know what still needs actual human translation.
 +
:* There is no reason to mark this user's version of the Let's Talk Day without their name when there's multiple versions available for the year. The only reason not to would be if this user wants their version to look like the "main" version to promote their own version. The formatting improvements I made also, in my opinion, make the page easier to navigate. If they claim their work isn't machine-translated after all, it would make sense to remove the "Machine-Translated" annotation, but there's no reason to remove their name.

Thanks though. The character design box is something new I added in the InfoBox TV. I thought it might be useful but if it causes problems, then delete it.
+
:I have been repeatedly frustrated by this user disrespecting other people's translations. I have never removed their work, and only annotated their section header after they refused to acknowledge that the translation was missing a large chunk of the questions. Initially, I just marked it as "incomplete" with the expectation that they'd update their version and remove the annotation, but instead they refused to acknowledge it at all.

::I think I might have fixed your issue with getting the Voice cast to show up on the template again. In one of your edits to the InfoBox_TV template, you changed a " colspan="2" " so that it became a "3" which was causing it to not show up on the episode pages. Now if you go to the page for episodes 625-626 the Voice Cast drop down button displays properly. Additionally there seems to be a weird spacing that is also messing with the Voice cast displaying on the page. Could it be that the code "| voice-cast  = " text was copied from another page? If you go to the pages that are having a problem and delete the space between the " | " and the " V " in the word "voice" and then re-add the space it seems to also help fix it. Episodes 611, 646, and 648 now work as well. --Jimmy-kud0-tv2 (talk) 04:39, 18 August 2018 (CEST)

To Floofboy,<br>
 +
I would like to sincerely apologize to you regarding several matters.<br>
 +

 +
* Anan Interview (2024)
 +
** First and foremost, I deeply apologize for removing your Anan magazine translation from the 2024 Interviews page. That was a mistake on my part and unfair to your work. If you would like, I am fully willing to restore your version in a dedicated section (for example under 2025 Interviews) once Nakamura allows editing again.
 +
** My intention was never to prevent your translation from appearing. The reason I replaced it at the time was because the interview section remained for more than four months without raw text excerpts or scanned images, and only included a purchase link to the magazine. I chose to upload a version I was actively working on along with raw images, so that anyone who wished to verify or double-check the translation could refer directly to the source material and assess the accuracy using Japanese dictionaries and reference tools. However, I acknowledge that replacing your work instead of discussing it first was inappropriate, and I am truly sorry.
 +
* Let’s Talk Day 2025
 +
** Regarding Let’s Talk Day 2025, I had previously added my translation based strictly on the official website text, rather than fan posts on X. From 2018 through 2025, there had only ever been a single translation per year on the page. When you added your version, I did not know whether multiple versions were permitted, especially as you were a new user at the time without prior edits or a user page explaining your background. I also was not active on Discord and could not verify whether permission had been discussed with administrators.
 +
** For those reasons, I removed your version and kept mine. However, once you informed me on my talk page that you had spoken with an admin, I did not remove your translation again—even though I had not independently confirmed that conversation. Still, I sincerely apologize for my earlier haste and for the rudeness of removing your work without proper discussion.
 +
* On Machine Translation Allegations
 +
** I want to clarify respectfully that I do not use machine translation. I work on my translations over several days before publishing them. I carefully review wording to ensure it remains faithful to Gosho Aoyama-sensei’s original phrasing and intent without altering meaning.
 +
** I also consult individuals who are more proficient in Japanese than I am when I encounter difficult kanji or nuanced expressions. Additionally, I review other fan translations only as a secondary reference point to confirm meaning and accuracy—not as a source to copy from. Even after publishing, I continue refining the text to ensure it reads naturally for native English speakers. I invest significant effort into maintaining accuracy and quality.
 +
* Communication and Moving Forward
 +
** I also apologize for not responding to you and for previously ignoring your concerns. At the time, I mistakenly assumed you might be a user uploading translations mainly for self-promotion, since you were not highly active and had not yet created a user page. That assumption was unfair, and I regret it.
 +
** To make amends, I am fully willing in the near future—if you wish—to collaborate, help edit your versions, or assist with adding contextual information regarding Aoyama-sensei’s statements. We both clearly share a passion for this series and for presenting the most accurate and valuable information to visitors of this wiki.

I hope we can move forward respectfully and cooperatively.<br>

:Given the above, I would suggest the following as a resolution:
 +
:* Replace the “Translation edited by” with “Translated by” credits on their sections on the Let’s Talk page so it’s clear it’s not MTL.
 +
:* Remove the Machine-Translated annotations on their section headers.
 +
:I hope this satisfies you as well. Thank you.

Request for Review of Recent Edits on the “Let’s Talk with Gosho Aoyama Day” Page

Dear Nakamura, There is a user named floofboy who has been making many changes in an inappropriate manner on the Let’s Talk with Gosho Aoyama Day page. These edits appear to be intended solely to promote his page as the “professional translation,” while implying that other translations are machine-generated—such as through the way the year titles are written. For full context on this matter:
  • Last year, in 2025, I had difficulty creating a wiki account, so I asked a friend of mine to add my Let's Day 2025 translation to the page in an additional section. • You allege Floofboy to recognize their version as the sole acceptable one and that they recognize others to be machine-translated.
    • You allege your versions are not machine-translated.
    • You allege the year headings are not properly formatted by Floofboy.
  • Floofboy:
    • You allege Manvel has been reverting your edits without reason (We have previously talked about this on the Discord and we have agreed to let you add your edits, provided you engage with Manvel to try to solve your differences).
    • You allege Manvel has not responded to your comments of his talk page.
    • You allege Manvel has been using machine-translated content as opposed to organic writing.

Please correct me if any of these points are wrong in summarizing your viewpoints. Both of you will have to explain yourselves on this talk page in the meantime, as there is no conflict resolution talk page in place on the wiki currently.

Floofboy would be advised to add proof to substantiate their claim that Manvel is using machine translation (like LLMs).

Manvel would be advised to respond to Floofboy's earlier claims, as well as explain their process for translating interviews.

I apologize in the delays for my response and I hope this can be resolved amicably. --Nakamura talk 20:41, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Manvel's response

To Floofboy,
I would like to sincerely apologize to you regarding several matters.

  • Anan Interview (2024)
    • First and foremost, I deeply apologize for removing your Anan magazine translation from the 2024 Interviews page. That was a mistake on my part and unfair to your work. If you would like, I am fully willing to restore your version in a dedicated section (for example under 2025 Interviews) once Nakamura allows editing again.
    • My intention was never to prevent your translation from appearing.
  • Let’s Talk Day 2025
    • Regarding Let’s Talk Day 2025, I had previously added my translation based strictly on the official website text, rather than fan posts on X.
    • For those reasons, I removed your version and kept mine. However, once you informed me on my talk page that you had spoken with an admin, I did not remove your translation again—even though I had not independently confirmed that conversation. Still, I sincerely apologize for my earlier haste and for the rudeness of removing your work without proper discussion.
  • On Machine Translation Allegations
    • I want to clarify respectfully that I do not use machine translation. I work on my translations over several days before publishing them. I carefully review wording to ensure it remains faithful to Gosho Aoyama-sensei’s original phrasing and intent without altering meaning.
    • I also consult individuals who are more proficient in Japanese than I am when I encounter difficult kanji or nuanced expressions. Additionally, I review other fan translations only as a secondary reference point to confirm meaning and accuracy—not as a source to copy from. Even after publishing, I continue refining the text to ensure it reads naturally for native English speakers. I invest significant effort into maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Communication and Moving Forward
    • I also apologize for not responding to you and for previously ignoring your concerns. At the time, I mistakenly assumed you might be a user uploading translations mainly for self-promotion, since you were not highly active and had not yet created a user page. That assumption was unfair, and I regret it.
    • To make amends, I am fully willing in the near future—if you wish—to collaborate, help edit your versions, or assist with adding contextual information regarding Aoyama-sensei’s statements. We both clearly share a passion for this series and for presenting the most accurate and valuable information to visitors of this wiki.

I hope we can move forward respectfully and cooperatively.
And a special thank you to Nakamura for their great efforts and for helping us resolve our differences.--Manvel talk 17:23, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Given the above, I would suggest the following as a resolution:
  • Replace the “Translation edited by” with “Translated by” credits on their sections on the Let’s Talk page so it’s clear it’s not MTL.
  • Remove the Machine-Translated annotations on their section headers.
I hope this satisfies you as well. Thank you.

Manvel's response

Yes, this is satisfactory. Thank you for your effort in helping reach a clear and constructive resolution.--Manvel talk 20:25, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Resolution

I am glad both of you have been able to find common ground on this matter. I will unprotect the pages and what both of you have agreed upon can be added following this. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for anything else. Let's always keep this civil! --Nakamura talk 20:09, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
