Your edits to Takagi have been reverted. Wataru in the manga has been written with 渉, which was seen recently in Takagi's police notebook in [[Volume 76]], chapter 10, pg 11 if you don't read Japanese. [[Wikipedia:Wataru Takagi|Wataru Takagi the voice actor uses the kanji 渉 in his name as well]]. In general though, Japanese people don't write their names in katakana unless it's something like a stage name. The English equivalent would be like insisting one's name be typed in all capital letters. The only time a normal person might wright the kanji name in katakana is if it is liable to be misread as something else eg. [[Sonoko's_Red_Handkerchief|Hozumi and August 1st]].
