The current Kid decide to steal because 1) He want to draw that people out to get revenge. 2) The "mysterious organization" looking for "Pandora" with grant immortality. Pandora said to be found in big jewel. So he try to get any big jewel before the organization and when he know it not the jewel he want, he return it.
