Anyone saw "Green Lantern: The First Flight"?<Spoiler!>

Recommended Posts

So I just saw "Green Lantern: The First Flight" on HBO and... <spoiler>

In the movie it talks about how the elder people created the lantern battery thingy and then powered it with the green element so that the rings would have power and hid away the yellow element because it is the only element that can beat the green element. So my question is if the yellow element can beat the green element then why not power the lantern using the yellow element in the first place??? wouldn't that make logical sense?

Green is the color of will power, and yellow is the color of fear. That is why they used green instead of yellow. And yellow affects the power rings because fear diminishes willpower. Oh right and the power of willpower > fear. The green rings are the most powerful weapon in the DCverse.
