  1. I know that much, however this thread was created first so it should be the initial post with threads. MK can add onto the first post, changing it and have links to each of the competitions. Of course, this one can just be suggestions and yours can be for recording all of them. I'll help with the recording if you want. ...And Misaki-chan has to do with it how?
  2. Yes, there is, but those are the two I specialize in. ? Clarification please? As for mysteries, there could be a mystery committee. 3-5 people who come up with the mystery, updated every day with fresh clues and evidence. The contestants are allowed to ask questions, and the committee chooses which ones to answer. The contestants may operate on their own or team up (no more than 3 people!), but the teams must be decided by the end of the first day. Each team is allowed to submit one request a day like, "Ask Person A where he was at 9:15" or "Search under the couch for any evidence". The committee will give a thorough report of what was found, how the person reacted, or what the person said. For signatures, something like drawings.
  3. Oh, I remember! It was from the previous time...I deleted all the messages from my notifications so I forgot. :P

  4. You spammed? O.o It was like...two messages...that's not called spam...or if it was, I forgot about it....

    I'm heading to NJ.

  5. I'm okay...not particularly great but not bad either.

I'll be here for maybe (if I'm lucky) another hour. Then it's pack, pack, pack, eat, pack, pack, pack, eat, pack, pack, pack, sleep, and then onto the next plane. *sighs*

  6. Jet lag. Which I hate. A lot.
  7. I think... We should prioritize with voting, which is fair because everyone gets equal say. We could have a Top 3 and then list all of the names. The main post would list all of the stories/drawings along with a link to them, which the author/artist would create themselves with a note stating they were entering it in the contest. It'd be best if we created a separate thread for each contest and discussed contest rules on this thread, since it'd make it easier to sort out. Voting would be secret and a week after the competition (so people have time to congratulate the winners), the topic would be locked. That way, you can always easily find the stories/drawings. So: Something like that. We should set a broad topic or some phrase for the person to use. We should have critiques as well. Maybe instead of judges, we could have critiques who would (after the competition) give complete advice and a rating for each story/drawing. They aren't judges and can't make the final decision, but they can give advice and help. It would be in a PM, of course. Is there anyone who's willing to critique? You don't have to do it for every competition. I think critiques are allowed to critique even when their own story/drawing is entered since they can't override any decisions. By the way, should we have different categories? Like, comedy, angst, mystery, adventure, horror, etc.? Or should we just have something like a phrase that has to be used in it? Or an object? I could think up have a dozen things that start with cotton candy. Of course, that doesn't apply to drawings... Phew, that took a long time to write out.
  8. Hmm? What?

    I have 123 friends. :P

  9. Did I welcome you? No? Welcome! :P

  10. It was great!

    But you're offline... :(

  11. IdentityUnknown walked out sipping her slushie. There was a long line at the coffee shop. IdentityUnknown smirked. Didn't they know there was a Starbucks just two blocks away? She walked the distance quickly and got in line to buy a slice of cheesecake. IdentityUnknown noticed a group of people walking together. There was one guy with glasses along with a bunch of younger girls. IdentityUnknown tried to stop herself from laughing. The couple reminded her slightly of Cure-kun and Grace, the girl certainly did seem like a Haibara. And the girls behind were just funny. They obviously weren't stalking, unless they were purposefully making it obvious since they were chattering about while following the two. The girl seemed a bit wary of the ones behind, while the guy...who in the world drinks that much coffee?
  12. LOL, I PLACE SPIES ALL AROUND THE GLOBE TO FIND OTHER DCW MEMBERS. *dies laughing*
  13. Welcome to DCW! It's extraordinarily fun, but just a note, most members here are crazy. Maurice is the founder of this site, and he is a guy. We have three mods here as well. My name is IdentityUnknown, currently the member with the largest amount of posts, though that’s likely to change soon. I’m one of the most frequent members here and my identity is (dun dun dun dun) hidden. Kaitou Kid Legendary Thief, more commonly referred to as KKLT or Legend, is the member with the second most posts, quite amazing if you compare when she joined to how many posts she has now. She’s the master of riddles, so if you want any to impress your friends, she’s the one to go to. Mohorovicic is the member with the third most posts. He left recently, so you probably won’t see him around much. He has an excellent reputation and is quite friendly to newcomers, so if you do see him, don’t be afraid to say hi. Officer Kaoko is another member you want to know. Her current member title is DCW's Best Dancer. She has an excellent reputation. Let's see, we also have Aeyra, real name Amy Z. She's a math freak (yes, she does admit this), and is probably DCW's best source for anything to do with numbers. She (used to) constantly harasses Mohorovicic for changing his username so frequently. Akakata, formerly known as Chelseaj500. What to say about her? She has an...interesting laugh, one that imitates Akako. She also writes fanfiction. She is the author of Into the World of Detective Conan, which some of you may have heard of. Detective Kudo is probably the most experienced out of all of us with deductions, as he has made absolutely superb ones. If you've got any riddles or mysteries you want to test, he's the guy you go to. Misaki-chan is one of our quickest and most frequent posters here, though a few newer members are catching up. We’ve really had quite a flood of them recently...not that that’s a bad thing. There are a lot of other people that you might like to meet: -Stradivarius -Meitantei Holmes -Xevar -Sayomi -Cammy3131 -crimsonsynchro -Chekhov (mod) -Southpaw (mod) -CarpetCrawler (mod) -Savior -Kid the Phantom Thief -Balthazar -Lady Irene Adler ...amongst many others. Everybody from DCW hopes you have fun! Other VERY Important Info: Member TItle: 0 posts --> Newbie 5 posts --> Member 30+ posts --> Advanced Member 500+ posts --> Whatever you want (as long as it's appropriate). As you see, a lot of us have things like "DCW's Best..." "DCW's..." etc. 500 posts may seem like a lot, but if you put time and effort into it, you can get there really quickly (I'm a prime example of that, got there in, um, 4 days). Reputation: Reputation is a representation of how popular the member is (or sometimes, how good their posts are). As Mohorovicic says,
  14. Writing contest? Sign me up.
  15. What're we talking about now?
  16. The only think I could think of that I might want to kill you for is if you wrote something about the pairing, but all I saw was the Cashier part, I didn't get that, I have to re-read it...
  17. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. IdentityUnknown stepped out and sighed. She'd just gotten everything she needed for senior year (assuming I'm 16 and going to be a senior this fall) and needed to relax. Smiling, she made her way to the bookstore. Maybe there'd be another one of the Rick Riordan books...the Kindle version wasn't out yet. Or perhaps she'd be lucky and find DC manga, there wasn't any of that where she had lived before. There was plenty of DC manga but, upon noticing several other people across the street holding the familiar manga books, her paranoid level had just increased and she came out of the bookstore empty handed. I'll buy it later tonight, she thought to herself, then laughed. She was really being way too paranoid. IdentityUnknown spotted a smoothie/slushie shop across the street and made her way there quickly. It was quite hot in NJ and she was eager to get a drink of some sort. EDIT: Oh, and Cure-kun, what do you mean I'd kill you for the cashier part?
  18. LOL!!! I'm reading DCW IRL...I must say, you guys have quite the imagination...
  19. You did? O.O
  20. Cuz she snuck out of it so that Cure-kun and Grace could have some quality alone time, which Cure-kun doesn't seem quite prepared for yet...
  21. *whistles innocently*
