Hm, I never played that game, tho I've heard of it before. But I don't consider card game shows as a needed element to get through with the game. I take it as an additional entertainment. Tho, I guess both of those aspects are present.

Kyuu, Magic: The Gathering has no rival. There exist no card game good enough to be its rival.
