    Now for the LCM.

    16 and 24

    we now know that their GCF is 8.

    So,

    16: 8 X 2

    24: 8 X 3

    Note that 16 is lacking of a three and 24 is lacking of a 2.

    So, if

    16: 8 X 2 (x3 = 48)

    24: 8 X 3 (x2 = 48)

    So the LCM is 48
