Yasutaka Hase (長谷 康孝 Hase Yasutaka?) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background

Yasutaka Hase is a professional horse trainer based in Tokyo. He is the one who trained one of the most famous race horses in Japan, White Spirits. He is affiliated with Tokuyoshi Stables. He meets Kogoro and Conan in White Spirits's kidnapping case. He and his two friends had been coerced into kidnapping and killing White Spirits by Kozo Tokuyoshi, the stables owner, against their will, so they hatched a plan to save him. A few days before the kidnapping, Hase went under disguise at the horse race Kogoro was watching to request his help. At the end, sleeping Kogoro is able to see the truth and Tokuyoshi is arrested. Hase is able to train White Spirits again.

Thoroughbred Kidnapping Case (Anime: 933-934)

When Kogoro goes to visit White Spirits to check if the three mysterious peoples' requests were true, he sees Hase training the latter. Later, he brings White Spirits in the truck so the horse can be brought to another ranch. After the kidnapping, Conan stuns Kogoro and reveals the results of his investigation, unveiling Hase, Saneaki Nagaura, Chizuru Kakuta and Masao Shiomi's plan to save the horse, and Tokuyoshi's evil plan to kill him. Later, Tokuyoshi is arrested and the four of them are seen at a horse race.
