The romantic relationship between Police Inspector Ninzaburo Shiratori and Teitan Elementary School Teacher and Detective Boys "manager", Sumiko Kobayashi.

Relationship Analysis

The love between Ninzaburo Shiratori and Sumiko Kobayashi had actualy began when they were both elementary school aged children. The young Kobayashi was trying to stop two older men from stealing in a bookstore, and the young Shiratori was watching the whole scene take place, and when the goons were about to hurt Kobayashi, he stepped in, rescuing her from any harm. As gratitude, Kobayashi gave him a soda that had paper shaped in the symbol of Tokyo police: Sakura petals. It was then that Shiratori fell in love with her, and decided to join the Tokyo police force because of her influence. However, for a long time, Shiratori believed that fellow officer, Miwako Sato was the same girl he met as a child. However, after solving a case with the Detective Boys, he finally learned that the girl he fell in love with as a boy, was actually schoolteacher, Sumiko Kobayashi.

Their relationship hit a major snag when Kobayashi thought the only reason Detective Shiratori was with her was because of how much she looked like Officer Sato. Thankfully, because of the intervention of the Detective Boys and Shiratori reciting the same words he said to her as a child, Kobayashi finally remembered him. They are currently dating each other, with Kobayashi regularly making bentos for Shiratori.
